Michael closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Michael is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Valesquez is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Michael jumps into side control!
Valesquez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Michael really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valesquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Michael lands a strong strike to the head of Valesquez. That's dazed him! Michael looking to finish here. Valesquez is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Michael lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
