#R1# King wants to clinch up but Volkov keeps it at a distance.#TD2# Volkov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Volkov content to stall in guard here. Volkov tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard. King keeping moving, preventing Volkov from controlling successfully. King manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Volkov manages to get himself to full guard.

But no, Volkov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for King but great work by Volkov. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Volkov lands a few punches from side control.#SUB2# Volkov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. King is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Volkov off and has taken his back! Volkov is really stuck here.

#R1# Nakamura shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense. Nakamura shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #TD2# and King counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nakamura won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakamura is not content to let King control the position. King tries to advance to mount but Nakamura denies him. Nakamura is trying to get back to half guard.#SUB2# King is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nakamura has escaped the position, nice work there. Nakamura tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but King wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
