#R1##TD2# MacDonald shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bass napping and manages to drive through into side control! MacDonald trying to control the action but Bass is working from the bottom. MacDonald fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Bass is positioning himself to get back to half guard. MacDonald wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bass keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacDonald taking a breather here. MacDonald wants to control but Bass is keeping him busy. #T1# MacDonald is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. MacDonald postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
MacDonald is looking to take a break and control but Bass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#TD2# MacDonald looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bass! MacDonald is looking to take a break and control but Bass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T3# The strikes coming from MacDonald are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Bass knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for MacDonald on the ground. Sloppy strikes there by MacDonald. MacDonald trying to control the action but Bass is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Bass's face as MacDonald controls the position. #T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bass is not content to let MacDonald control the position. MacDonald postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bass is breathing heavily. MacDonald creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bass sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. MacDonald is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bass will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! MacDonald wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bass keeps working. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Justin MacDonald dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2##TD2# MacDonald closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bass to the mat! Bass manages to get full guard. MacDonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Bass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. MacDonald postures up in Bass's guard and throws a big left but Bass blocks it. MacDonald wants to control from the top but Bass keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacDonald in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. MacDonald works a leg free and moves into half guard. #T1# MacDonald wants to take a breather but Bass is having none of it. MacDonald missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#SU2# MacDonald stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Justin MacDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A combination from MacDonald does no damage. #TD2# Bass gets caught napping as MacDonald dives in and scores a takedown. Bass manages to retain guard. MacDonald missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. MacDonald wants to control from the top but Bass keeps moving. #T2# MacDonald wants to stand but Bass has a closed guard, so he can't escape. MacDonald passes Bass's right leg, so he's now in half guard. MacDonald thows a huge punch but Bass dodges it nicely.
#SUB# Bass actively working from the bottom here. Justin MacDonald has got the better of the ground game so far. Bass avoiding damage under a succession of punches from MacDonald. MacDonald wants to stand up but Bass has a hold of him and won't allow it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.#T3##SUB2# MacDonald is trying for a kimura here. Bass looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! MacDonald wins by kimura!

#R1##TD2# Stumps shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bass manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Stumps wants to pass the guard but Bass is keeping the position. Stumps is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Stumps controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Stumps looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Stumps working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Bass keeping moving, preventing Stumps from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stumps tries to free his leg and advance position but Bass is retaining full guard. Stumps lands a couple of decent looking shots. Stumps pushing down on Bass's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. #T1# Bass is looking for a sweep. Stumps is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.#SU2# Stumps decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Stumps swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bass throwing a counter right hand but Stumps manages to avoid it. Bass checks a leg kick nicely. Stumps tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bass manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#TD2# Stumps throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bass was covering up waiting for the punch and Stumps finishes the takedown easily into guard. Stumps slips nicely into half guard.#T2# Stumps trying to control the pace. #SUB2# Stumps is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bass has managed to free his arm - good work. #SUB# Bass looking for submissions off his back. Stumps stalling. Bass knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stumps on the ground.#T3# Stumps is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Stumps seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Stumps unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Bass wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Stumps celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

A relieved looking Hommer Stumps thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
