He must have been on the weights.#TD2# Lazardo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Berisha manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Berisha bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lazardo's guard. #REVR# Lazardo wants to stand but Berisha is controlling the position. Berisha keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lazardo's head.#SUB2# Lazardo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lazardo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Nice strikes from Berisha there. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. #R1##TD2# Lazardo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Libat tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lazardo is in Libat's guard.#SUB2# Lazardo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lazardo seems to have locked his on tight now - Libat screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lazardo, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Lionel Lazardo! Lionel Lazardo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. |

#R1##TD2# Lazardo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lazardo cracks Mibangon with an elbow. That is naaassty.#SUB2# Lazardo is trying to get an arm triangle but Mibangon is defending well. Mibangon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lazardo on the ground.#SUB2# Lazardo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lazardo looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mibangon is avoiding damage well.
Lazardo looks up at the clock and then as Mibangon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lazardo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SUB2# Lazardo is trying to get an arm triangle but Mibangon is defending well. Lazardo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lazardo's half guard.#ES2# Lazardo has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Roachman is on him like a limpet, forcing Lazardo back against the cage.#TD2# Lazardo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Roachman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lazardo. #SUB2# Lazardo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #SUB2# Lazardo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Roachman dives on top into guard.#REVR# Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roachman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #SUB2# Lazardo has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Roachman doesn't defend quickly enough and Lazardo has managed to lock this one up! Can Roachman escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lazardo on a fantastic submission victory.
