#R1##CL2# Yurchon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cordova, pushing him back against the cage. Yurchon digs a right hand underneath Cordova's ribcage. Cordova let out a lung full of air as it connected. Yurchon misses with the head strike.
Cordova tries for a takedown. No joy.
Cordova lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Yurchon. Cordova misses with a hook to the ribs.
Yurchon tries a body shot but Cordova blocks it.
Yurchon lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cordova backwards. Yurchon throws a punch but it's blocked by Cordova. A quick uppercut on the inside from Yurchon. Cordova creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Cordova lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Yurchon has a couple of punches blocked by Cordova.

Our sources have told us that Cordova has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Cordova gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Yurchon has a couple of punches blocked by Cordova.

#R1# Cordova waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Magomedsharipov. Cordova connects with a nice looking jab.
Cordova feints a jab promting Magomedsharipov to slip. Cordova then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Magomedsharipov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Cordova throws a quick inside leg kick. Cordova is looking to clinch but Magomedsharipov is avoiding it.
Magomedsharipov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Magomedsharipov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cordova lands a slapping body shot.

This has been an exciting period of action!#KD2# Oooooh!!! Cordova has knocked Magomedsharipov down with a huge combo! Cordova steps away and waves a wobbly Magomedsharipov back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#ROC2#Magomedsharipov is rocked!#CL2# Cordova moves into the clinch successfully.
Oh Magomedsharipov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cordova blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

#T1# Cordova wants to clinch. Cordova wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Cordova throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Magomedsharipov crashing down! Magomedsharipov tries to stagger back to his feet but Cordova just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Magomedsharipov asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Devin Cordova! A very excited looking Devin Cordova rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |

#R1# Cordova missing with a left hand there. Riddle was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cordova connects with a nice looking jab.
A left lands for Cordova. Cordova lands with a right hand. Cordova swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Riddle.#CUT#It looks like Gu Riddle has been cut.#CL2# Riddle forces Cordova back against the cage and clinches.#TD# Cordova gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Riddle has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cordova off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cordova lands a jab to the nose. Cordova connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. The fight stays on the outside here - Riddle looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cordova connects with a solid leg kick. Riddle looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Cordova uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Cordova connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Riddle's hands.#CL2# Riddle moves into range and clinches up with Cordova. Cordova is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Cordova gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Riddle.

Riddle explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Sloppy strikes from Cordova. Those never looked like landing. Cordova with the inside leg kick. Cordova jabs Riddle to the body, keeping him at a distance. Riddle wants to clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cordova connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Devin Cordova is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cordova catches Riddle with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Cordova keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. As Riddle tries to get set, Cordova tries to push him back and clinch up but Riddle manages to avoid the attempt. Cordova lands a jab to Riddle's midsection.#T2# Riddle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cordova manages to avoid it. A nice leg kick lands there from Cordova. Riddle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cordova swats him away and circles back towards the center. #TD2# Riddle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cordova was covering up waiting for the punch and Riddle finishes the takedown easily into guard. Cordova on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cordova tries to get out of the position. Riddle won't allow Cordova to get back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riddle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cordova trying to strike off his back.
Riddle's corner is telling him to maintain position.#SUB2# Riddle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #SUB# Cordova has his foot on Riddle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Riddle works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T3# Riddle wants to control from the top but Cordova keeps moving. Riddle is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Riddle trying to control but Cordova is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Riddle pushes down on Cordova's leg and manages to get into half guard.#SUB2# Riddle is looking for a kimura here.
#SUB2# Cordova is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Riddle has latched onto it... Big trouble! Riddle pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Cordova is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Riddle!

#R1# Nice sprawl there from Cordova as Morah shoots in. Devin Cordova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cordova misses with a few strikes there.
Cordova scores with a jab. Morah acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Cordova fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cordova takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Cordova throws a combination that misses #TD2# and Morah counters with a single leg into guard. Cordova didn't expect that. Morah in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cordova will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB# Cordova escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morah gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Morah chips away with some ground and pound. Morah trying to control the position from guard on top but Cordova is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Morah in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. #T1# Cordova avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Morah scores with a decent looking elbow strike. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morah accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cordova preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cordova keeping moving, preventing Morah from controlling successfully. #SUB# Cordova is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Morah defends well. Morah throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cordova works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cordova wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Morah throws a big right hand that misses. Cordova has momentary wrist control but Morah slips an elbow through the middle. Morah trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Morah wants to control from the top but Cordova keeps moving. Morah sitting in guard here, content to control. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Cordova connects with a right hand. Morah shakes it off.#T3# Cordova showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Morah.

This has been an exciting period of action! Cordova scores with the left hand. Morah knows he should have avoided that one. Morah throws a nice looking combination but Cordova bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Morah looks winded! Cordova pounces like a tiger and cracks Morah with a vicious hook! Morah is down but not out! Cordova follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

After the fight, Devin Cordova was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |
