#R1# Herrera connects with a right hand. Franco shakes it off. Herrera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Herrera misses with a hook. Herrera lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Herrera thuds his right hand into Franco's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Herrera connects with a body shot. Franco shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Herrera as he jumps to the side. Herrera misses with a right hand #TD2# and Franco counters with a shoot takedown. Herrera fights it but they end up in guard. Franco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Herrera wants to stand but Franco is controlling the position. Franco trying to control but Herrera is working from the bottom. Franco landing some decent shots from guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#SU2# Herrera is working an open guard so Franco takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Herrera lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Franco circles away quickly and effectively. Herrera bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Franco's head backwards.#CL# Herrera takes the fight into the clinch. #T1##BC# Herrera breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Franco takes one on the button. No luck for Herrera with that takedown attempt. A solid leg kick lands there for Herrera.
A low kick from Herrera is predictable there and Franco counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#TD# Herrera scores with a takedown into Franco's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Franco preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. #SUB2# Herrera stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Franco has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Herrera manages to get his head free but now Franco has transitioned to an armbar! Herrera grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Franco! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

#R1# Gregor fails with the takedown. Herrera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gregor avoids it really well and circles away. Gregor seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Herrera lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
#CL# Gregor moves into the clinch. Herrera throws an elbow that misses.
#BC# Gregor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Herrera lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gregor fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Herrera lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Gregor tries to close the distance and clinch but Herrera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #T1# Herrera throws a chopping leg kick but Gregor manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Herrera lands a head shot. Hector Herrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Herrera slaps away a takedown attempt from Gregor, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caleb Gregor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gregor is breathing heavily. Herrera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gregor as he avoids it easily. Gregor has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gregor there as he acknowledges the shot. Jab, jab by Herrera - just one landing. Nice uppercut lands for Herrera. That snapped Gregor's head back.

Herrera connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gregor's hands. Gregor slips under a jab. Herrera fails with a takedown attempt. Gregor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#T2# Herrera lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Herrera lands some shots froms side control. Herrera working the ground and pound. The ground and pound from Herrera seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Gregor taking a bit of punishment here - Herrera scoring with strikes. Herrera cracks Gregor with a big right hand but Gregor just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
#ROC2#Gregor is rocked! Gregor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gregor tries to get out of the position. Herrera working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Oh Gregor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Herrera landing a few strikes. Herrera landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Herrera lands a nice forearm strike. Herrera lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Herrera working the ground and pound from side control. Gregor can't do much from the bottom here. Herrera working the head and body with strikes. A big shot lands for Herrera! That's hurt Gregor! Will he recover? Herrera fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
