Riggs lunges at Smith with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Smith's hand.
Riggs displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Riggs closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Smith! Riggs dives in looking to finish! Smith is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fitzwater enables Smith to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fitzwater manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Smith has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fitzwater is proving hard to escape from.
Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

I would just about give that final round to John Smith.
Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
