Tanaka on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tanaka tries to get out of the position. Powerhouse controls from within his opponent's guard. Powerhouse stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tanaka swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Powerhouse is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tanaka's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Tanaka is looking to take a break and control but Powerhouse is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Powerhouse is concentrating on defense, preventing Tanaka from advancing position. Tanaka seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

#R1# Ferreira tries to clinch there but Tanaka circles away.
Tanaka throws a quick counter head kick but Ferreira was just out of range. Tanaka looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Tanaka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ferreira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tanaka swats him away and circles back towards the center. The fight stays on the outside here - Ferreira looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ferreira tries to clinch up. Ferreira is looking to clinch. Tanaka swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ferreira counters with a nice uppercut. Ferreira tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tanaka manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ferreira connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Tanaka tumbling to the canvas! Ferreira pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Tanaka was done - good stoppage!

Tanaka lands a body punch in the clinch. #TD# Tanaka tightens his grip and picks York up, before dumping him to the ground. York manages to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tanaka controls from within his opponent's guard. Tanaka has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanaka connects with a couple of short punches. York is a painfully thin specimen of a man. Sawyer throws a combination. Tanaka tries to block but a couple of punches get through.#TD# Tanaka is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sawyer's half guard.
Sawyer has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Tanaka is on him like a limpet, forcing Sawyer back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice elbow from Sawyer. #BC2# Sawyer breaks the clinch.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Sawyer! Tanaka is backing up but he can't get away as Sawyer lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Tanaka and ends the fight. Great knockout.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sandman keeping moving, preventing Tanaka from controlling successfully. #SU2# Tanaka decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sandman, up you get! Tanaka shoots in but Sandman avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tanaka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sandman's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tanaka under the eye. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tanaka. Tanaka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
