#R1# Coombs with a nice cross. Coombs definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Coombs jabbing away but nothing is landing. Baker unleashes a big counter combination but Coombs bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. A looping hook to the body misses from Coombs. Baker does a little dance to reset his feet. Baker lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Jab from Coombs. Coombs throws a leg kick enabling Baker to counter with a crisp jab. Coombs looks to land a right hand but Baker moved out of range. Baker blocks a leg kick. A nice combination there by Baker.

A looping hook to the body misses from Coombs. Baker does a little dance to reset his feet. Baker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.#T1# Coombs tries to work over Baker's front leg with a kick but Baker checks it. Coombs scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Coombs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baker manages to avoid it. Baker is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Baker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coombs circles away quickly and effectively. Coombs takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Baker stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Coombs. Baker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Coombs can pounce on him.

We've been informed that Baker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Coombs feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bakers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters circling - Baker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Coombs half committed to a counter leg kick. Coombs swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Baker. A jab from Baker misses. Coombs lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Baker misses with an uppercut. Coombs dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Coombs feints and then cracks Baker's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Baker down. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baker looks to land a combination. Coombs sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Baker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Coombs. Coombs just misses with a punch to the body.
#T7# Coombs throws a leg kick and Coombs takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Coombs dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Baker. That did some damage! Baker might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Coombs misses with a hook. Baker ducked under it nicely. A nice leg kick from Coombs, right into the meat of the thigh.

Coombs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dancer throws a right and a left that both miss. Coombs dodges the punch combination from Dancer.
Coombs throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Dancer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coombs. Dancer throws a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coombs on the wrong end of a nice hook. Coombs keeps Dancer at a distance using the push kick. Dancer misses with a few strikes there.
A slow jab from Dancer misses its intended target. #T1# Coombs shoots for a double leg takedown but Dancer sprawls well. He's pushed Coombs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Coombs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dancer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Horrible takedown attempt by Coombs or perhaps it was just good defense by Dancer, which made it look bad. #R1# Coombs misses with a wild body shot. Van Gogh goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Vincent Van Gogh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL# Van Gogh tries to keep at a distance but Coombs has taken the fight into the clinch. Van Gogh has a couple of punches blocked by Coombs.
Coombs blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.#BC# Coombs breaks the clinch.

Van Gogh has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Van Gogh throws a lazy right hand but Coombs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Van Gogh throws the left hand but Coombs avoids the punch easily. Coombs drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Coombs moves away from the strike by Van Gogh. Coombs throws a quick counter head kick but Van Gogh was just out of range. Van Gogh slips a jab and a cross from Coombs.

Coombs won't allow Van Gogh to get back to his feet. Coombs wants to pass the guard but Van Gogh is keeping the position. Coombs remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. #T3# Coombs lands an elbow. Coombs content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Coombs postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Coombs working some strikes from top position.#T5# Coombs's corner is telling him to maintain position. Coombs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Coombs seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Coombs throwing strikes but missing. Coombs controlling from the top position. #T6# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Van Gogh is trying to get back to his feet but Coombs has full control of the position and if anything, Van Gogh has just worked his way into a worse spot. A bit of a pause in the action here. Coombs controlling the positon. Van Gogh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coombs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Coombs has managed to slip his arm under Van Gogh's chin. This could be all over... yep, Van Gogh is tapping out! Submission win for Coombs.
