Xu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Xu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Xu looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Xu scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Fireball tries to kick Xu off in order to stand up. Xu Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Xu working the ground and pound from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fireball stops Xu from passing to mount.
Fireball is letting Xu control him for a moment.
Xu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
