Cheryshev catches Armstrong with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Armstrong dives in and grabs Cheryshev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cheryshev pushes down on Armstrong's head and hops out.

Physicist's coach down at XceL Elite Striking and Conditioning was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Physicist's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Armstrong decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Armstrong looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Makhmudov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Armstrong is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
