Machado blocks a jab. Machado scores with a hook to the body. Routerhead takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Machado throws a body punch but Routerhead moves out of range. Machado stuffs the takedown attempt from Routerhead. Routerhead gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A very excited looking Wanderson Machado rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Oliveira misses with a takedown attempt and De Oliveira takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. De Oliveira gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Routerhead counters with a stiff right hand. Vinchito Routerhead seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. De Oliveira on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. #CL# Routerhead moves into the clinch. De Oliveira drops down looking for an ankle pick but Routerhead pulls his leg out and moves away.
Vinchito Routerhead has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angenor De Oliveira. De Oliveira doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Routerhead drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! #R1##TD# Lannister feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lannister tries to free his leg and advance position but Routerhead is retaining full guard. Routerhead wants to sweep here but Lannister controlling him for the moment. Routerhead working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lannister. Lannister trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Routerhead throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Routerhead thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Lannister tries to free his leg and advance position but Routerhead is retaining full guard. Lannister postures up in Routerhead's guard and throws a big left but Routerhead blocks it. Lannister has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lannister preventing the sweep. Cooper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Routerhead moves away. Routerhead changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Cooper misses with an uppercut
#CL# and Routerhead holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Routerhead. Routerhead manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
