This one could be over very soon! Freds goes limp - he's gone! Petrone jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Freds blocks a jab.
Bobbie throws the left hand but Freds avoids the punch easily.
Bobbie looks to land a left hand but Freds moved out of range nicely.
It looked like Freds wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bobbie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Freds lands with an overhand left.
Freds scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Freds cracks Bobbie with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bobbie tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Freds pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bobbie is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Freds!
A very excited looking John Freds made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Dummy shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dummy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Freds moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Dummy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Freds lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Freds feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dummy sprawling to the canvas! Dummy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Freds finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A decent looking cross lands there for Freds.

Freds throws an uppercut from hell that sends Hogan clean off his feet! He's out cold! Freds stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Heim with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Freds to score with a decent uppercut.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tan Zan.
