Haggus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Macrae lands a nice shot to the body.
Macrae looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Macrae throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Haggus on the side of the head.
Macrae lands a slapping body shot.
Haggus looks for a takedown but Macrae sprawls well.
Larry Haggus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Macrae pushes Merman away with a front kick.
Merman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Macrae tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Merman tries to clinch there but Macrae circles away.
Merman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Macrae is fending him off so far but Merman persists. Nope, Macrae circles away and we're back to standing.#CL#
Macrae rushes Merman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Merman ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Merman no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Merman wants to stand but Macrae is controlling the position.

Macrae is fighting to break Merman's control of his arms but Merman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.#T1##SUB2#
Merman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Macrae doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Merman is tightening it up a little... Macrae has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Macrae reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Macrae taps out! Nice BJJ there by Merman!
