Van Niem is fighting off a takedown attempt but Telfer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Van Niem to the mat. Van Niem regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Telfer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Telfer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Van Niem can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Telfer controls the pace.#SUB2#

Van Niem does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Danilov lands a lovely overhand right.
A clash of legs there as Danilov blocks the low kick.
Van Niem throws a low kick but Danilov moves out of range easily.
Van Niem doesn't manage to clinch there - Danilov circles away.
Danilov lands with a nice body punch.

Danilov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Van Niem, pushing him back against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Danilov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
