Allen trying to control but Bates flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Good control from Bates. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Bates is riding his opponent, not letting Allen buck him off. Allen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#T1# Allen can't escape the position.

Bob Bates showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Allen is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bates takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Allen has given up his back here.
Allen is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

#R1##TD2# Cone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Allen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Allen is wriggling around but Cone manages to pass to half guard.
Allen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#REVR# Cone working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Allen trying to control here.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Allen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cone on the ground. Cone moves into full mount! Allen won't be happy about that! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cone landing shots from mount. Cone controlling from mount. #T1# Cone lands a couple of good shots and Allen has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Cone has good solid back control here. Allen is trying to break free.
#SUB2# Allen is trying to defend against the choke here but Cone has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Cone Tightens the hold and Allen taps out furiously! Cone displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

#R1# Allen dodges the punch combination from Coors.
Allen throws a head kick but Coors moves out of range.
Coors is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Allen misses with a wild body shot. A little feinted left hand from Coors on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Coors keeps the fight on the outside. Allen wants to clinch up but Coors keeps it at a distance. Allen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Allen delivers a nice body kick. Allen throws a right hand that misses
and Coors counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Coors sizes up Allen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Allen tries to clinch but Coors moves out of range. Malik Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coors lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
#CUT# It looks like Malik Allen has been cut. A lazy body kick from Allen #KD# and Coors counters with a nice right hand that sends Allen toppling to the canvas! Allen scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Coors finish him?!#ROC# Allen is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Allen tries a head kick but it misses.
Allen is still on wobbly legs! Can Coors finish him?#T1# Allen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Allen seems to have recovered his senses. Allen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.#KD# Coors lands a big right hand that sends Allen crashing to the mat! Coors stays standing though and waves Allen back to his feet! Allen misses with a low kick. Coors definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Coors misses with a straight left. Allen let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Allen throws a combination that misses and Coors counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Allen out cold! What a finish! Coors is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Milo Coors! Milo Coors spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

#R1##TD2# Allen gets caught napping as Sung dives in and scores a takedown. Allen manages to retain guard. Sung has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad Amsterdam. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Sung pushes down on Allen's leg and manages to get into half guard. Allen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sung on the ground. Sung works his way into side control. #SUB2# Sung has an Americana. Allen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sung is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sung hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sam Sung! After the fight, Sam Sung was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

#R1# Hightower is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hightower has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Hightower keeps the fight on the outside. Hightower swats away the attempt to clinch by Allen. Hightower throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Allen goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Allen misses with a shot to the body #CL2# and Hightower moves into the clinch. Allen goes for a takedown attempt but Hightower pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Allen has a takedown stuffed. Hightower flicks out a counter leg kick but Allen steps away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice takedown defense from Hightower. No joy for Allen on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Malik Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Allen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hightower manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nice defenses there by Allen. Allen avoids a kick to the body.
Allen changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Hightower should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.#T1# Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hightower paws at him with a jab and circles away. Allen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Hightower misses the shot to the body. Allen is looking to clinch. Hightower with a poor takedown and Allen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. No luck for Hightower with that takedown attempt. Hightower misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Williams has eaten all the pies!#BC# Allen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Allen shoots in but Williams avoids the takedown attempt easily. Williams tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.#CL# Allen instigates a clinch. #BC# Allen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Allen scores to the head and body with a nice combination!#CUT# It looks like Jake Williams has been cut. Williams shoots in and drives through. Allen sprawls well. Allen is looking for a counter combo. Williams dives in and grabs Allen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Allen pushes down on Williams's head and hops out.
