and Zappacosta counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Zappacosta lands a nice hook to Spiagnu's body. Spiagnu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Menhaden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zappacosta tries to avoid it but Menhaden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zappacosta to the ground. Zappacosta escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Zappacosta counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Giacomo Zappacosta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kip Menhaden.

Zappacosta works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
McCarthy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
It looked like Zappacosta was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from McCarthy.
McCarthy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Zappacosta counters with a huge left! McCarthy is in big trouble! He's backing up but Zappacosta isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save McCarthy from any more damage. A dominating finish by Zappacosta!
