#R1##TD2# Kulina shoots in and bounces Bentley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bentley can't keep his opponent in guard - Kulina advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kulina controlling the pace. Kulina trying to control from half guard but Bentley is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in half guard, Kulina seems content to control. Kulina not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. #T1# Bentley is trying to stand.
Kulina takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Let's hope that Kulina has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Kulina.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#TD2# Kulina shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kulina was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!#T2##SUB2# Kulina is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bentley looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kulina gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bentley is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kulina lets go of the hold and Bentley can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jay Kulina!
