Mcfucked dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Shields has had enough and taps out.

Alot closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Shields regains full guard. Nicely done.
Alot cracks Shields with a solid left hand.
Alot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Shields is looking to stand up but Alot isn't so interested in that idea.
Shields could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Alot distracts Shields with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Shields wants to sweep but no luck.
Alot looking to sit in guard and control but Shields gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR#

That was a close round but I would say that Mitch Shields will probably get the nod.

Alot is trying to trip Shields. He has hold of a leg but Shields is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Alot persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Alot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gates lands a brutal uppercut that launches Shields off his feet! Shields tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Corbett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shields swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shields lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corbett circles away quickly and effectively.
A punch lands to the side of Shields 's head but he takes it in his stride.#CUT2#

Shields finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Corbett's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Shields falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
