Grant swings wildly with a couple of big hooks #TD#
and Dallara counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Grant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dallara. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Grant trying to control here. #SUB#
Dallara seems to be working for a kimura but Grant defends the submission attempt.#SUB#
Dallara looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique. #SUB#
Dallara wants to work for an arm triangle but Grant is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dallara is looking to advance position but Grant won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1#
Dallara thows a huge punch but Grant dodges it nicely.
Dallara sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Grant defending well though.
Grant pushes Dallara off but Dallara dives into side control.
Dallara wants to control but Grant is keeping him busy.
Grant is trying to control Dallara's posture but Dallara avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dallara has hold of Grant's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Grant seems comfortable defending it but Dallara has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Grant is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Grant is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Dallara couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Filippo Dallara!

Grant ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Granger moves away.
Grant wants to clinch up but Granger keeps it at a distance.
Grant takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Granger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Granger lands a head kick!
Granger dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Grant. That did some damage!
Grant tries to clinch up
and Granger counters with a nice uppercut.
Granger misses the shot to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Grant! But no joy.
Granger keeps the fight on the outside.
Grant tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Granger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Granger is looking to counter punch.
Grant fails in his attempt to clinch.
Granger moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Grant tries to clinch up but Granger circles away and keeps his distance.
Granger fakes the leg kick and cracks Grant in the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grant walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.#CL2#
Grant rushes Granger and presses him up against the cage.

Grant tries to circle away but Granger has him pinned against the cage.
Granger dips a shoulder and cracks Grant with a mighty uppercut! Grant falls back against the cage and Granger unloads with a barrage of strikes! Grant is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Granger screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Granger!
