Bud takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bud throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ramirez throws a leg kick but Bud sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Bud blocks a low kick nicely.
Ramirez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ramirez misses with a hook. Bud ducked under it nicely.
Bud misses with a head kick.
Ramirez will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Bud is looking for a counter combo.
Ramirez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

A solid leg kick lands there for Bud.

Bud tries a head kick but it misses.
Ramirez gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bud gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Ramirez is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kona Bud!
A relieved looking Kona Bud thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Ramirez throws a poor cross that misses
and Krustofski counters with a nice leg kick.
Ramirez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Krustofski feints and then cracks Ramirez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ramirez down.
A nice leg kick lands there from Krustofski.

Ramirez throws a lazy head kick
and Krustofski counters with a nice leg kick.
Ramirez is breathing heavily.
Ramirez throws a series of punches but Krustofski avoids them all with ease.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ramirez throws a lazy right hand but Krustofski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Krustofski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Anthony Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramirez has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Krustofski.
Krustofski's coach down at Rabid Dog was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Krustofski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ramirez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Krustofski - the referee stops the clock and Ramirez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Krustofski. Ramirez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Krustofski scores with the left hand. Ramirez knows he should have avoided that one.
Krustofski throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Ramirez takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Ramirez wants to pass to mount but Shulun is defending the position.
Ramirez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shulun keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King Jr tries to pull guard but Ramirez holds him up against the cage and eventually King Jr drops back down to his feet.
King Jr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ramirez just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martin Luther King Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
