Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shu Fang Tzeng (ranked 3684 p4p, 199 weight class) and Randy Rutheford (ranked 3050 p4p, 166 weight class). Tzeng's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mantra Chant. Randy Rutheford acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tzeng tries to clinch there but Rutheford circles away.
Rutheford doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Rutheford loads up on a big right hand but Tzeng slips the punch.
Tzeng has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rutheford finds it's way round the side to connect with Tzeng's head.
Rutheford bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tzeng's head backwards.
Tzeng tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rutheford swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Rutheford counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Tzeng holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tzeng tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rutheford just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tzeng jumps guard but Rutheford turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Tzeng fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shu Fang Tzeng. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tzeng has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rutheford uses from the top position.

Tzeng is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rutheford must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rutheford is sitting in close to Tzeng's body. Tzeng has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Rutheford is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rutheford is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tzeng.
