Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Toshiyuki does no damage.
Toshiyuki walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Shamrock checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Shamrock looks to land a left hand but Toshiyuki moved out of range nicely.
A slapping leg kick lands for Toshiyuki.
Toshiyuki staying out of range there.
Toshiyuki drops down looking for a counter takedown but Shamrock sprawls and moves away.

Shamrock shoots in and gets a takedown into Toshiyuki's guard.
Shamrock pushing down on Toshiyuki's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Toshiyuki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Toshiyuki.

Toshiyuki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shamrock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Shamrock postures up.
Shamrock slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Shamrock is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Toshiyuki has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Shamrock is looking to defend but Toshiyuki has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Shamrock! Toshiyuki pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Shamrock taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ikeda Toshiyuki!
