Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geordie Power (ranked 535 p4p, 76 weight class) and Shoei Braz (ranked 611 p4p, 90 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Geordie Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shoei Braz!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Power tries to avoid it but Braz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Power to the ground. Power escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Power scores with a leg kick.

Braz looking to score a takedown here. Power is defending well but Braz drives through and ends up in Power's guard.

Power has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Braz off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Braz shoots in for a double leg but Power sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Power throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Braz fails with a takedown attempt.
Geordie Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shoei Braz.
Power lands a nice leg kick that just misses Braz's sensitive parts.

Power throws a leg kick but Braz sees it coming and moves out of range.
Braz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Braz shoots in looking for a takedown. Power tries to sprawl out of it but Braz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Power manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Geordie Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Power leaves Braz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shoei Braz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Power lands a glancing blow to the side of Braz's head.

It looks like Shoei Braz has been cut.
Power lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Braz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We've been told by Power's head coaches at Total Impact MMA/KT that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Braz shoots in and drives through. Power sprawls well.
As Braz looks to move away, Power throws a big counter combo but Braz just gets out of the way.

enabling Power to counter with a crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Power looks to land a left hand but Braz moved out of range nicely.
Braz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Power.
Braz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Power counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Power will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Braz throws out a counter right but Power avoids it with no problem.

Braz darts in looking for a takedown but Power gets double underhooks and turns Braz into the cage.
Braz shoots in for a takedown but Power shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Braz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Power wants to sweep but no luck.
Power is looking to stand up but Braz isn't so interested in that idea.
Braz stands up over Power, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Power has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Braz is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Braz tries to score a body lock takedown but Power shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Power lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Braz backwards.
Power lands a nice shot to the body.
Braz looks winded!
Power lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Power lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

That has opened up Shoei Braz's cut even more.
Power is pressed up against the cage. Braz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Power down to the mat. Power avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Power lands a nice shot to the body.
Power is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Power tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Braz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Power avoids it really well and circles away.
Power thuds his right hand into Braz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Braz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Power connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Power smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

The cut above Shoei Braz's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Power lands with a slapping head kick.
Braz on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Braz is rocked!

Shoei Braz's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Power throws a big shot that misses.
Power slaps away a takedown attempt from Braz, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Power counters with a head kick that drops Braz to the mat! Braz scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Braz is still on wobbly legs! Can Power finish him?

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shoei Braz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Geordie Power!
A less than humble Geordie Power misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Shoei Braz was interviewed post fight and said 'I`ll be back'.
