Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kiro Kirov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, JR Adams Junior!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams Junior will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kirov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
JR Adams Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adams Junior stuns Kirov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Adams Junior uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kirov has time to react.

Oh Kirov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kirov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kirov seems to have got his legs back now.
Adams Junior has Kirov pulled in close to control his posture.

We've been hearing good reports from Kirov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

It looks like Adams Junior might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kirov has his foot on Adams Junior's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Adams Junior works his way back into a safe position though.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kirov shoots in for a double leg but Adams Junior sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Adams Junior throws a series of strikes that have Kirov backpedaling.
Kirov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A little jabbing left from Adams Junior on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Kirov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Adams Junior avoids it really well and circles away.

JR Adams Junior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kirov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Adams Junior as he avoids it easily.
Adams Junior doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

JR Adams Junior comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Adams Junior has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
