Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abed Nadir (ranked 1884 p4p, 225 weight class) and Michael Elliott (ranked 2680 p4p, 319 weight class). Nadir comes to the cage accompanied by Paul Hertzog - Fight to survive. Michael Elliott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abed Nadir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Elliott!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Chris Dean and Ben Watson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A telegraphed right hand from Elliott misses the target.
Elliott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
As Elliott looks to move away, Nadir throws a big counter combo but Elliott just gets out of the way.
Elliott pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Elliott takes one to the side of the head.
Elliott shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nadir as he jumps to the side.
We've been informed that Elliott has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Elliott throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Elliott crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nadir - the referee stops the clock and Elliott gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nadir. Elliott manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Nadir throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nadir ducks under a wild hook from Elliott.
Nadir ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Elliott cracks Nadir with a right hand to the side of the head.

Nadir cracks Elliott with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nadir has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Elliott to stand back up!

Elliott is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nadir lands with a right and another and another! Elliott is in big trouble! Nadir lands again and this time it's lights out for Elliott! A quality knockout there for Nadir.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Abed Nadir!
A very excited looking Abed Nadir rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
