The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sjoren shoots in looking for a takedown. Svennerud tries to sprawl out of it but Sjoren keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Svennerud manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Svennerud misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sjoren tries to clinch up but Svennerud circles away and keeps his distance.
Sjoren is looking to clinch.

Svennerud bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sjoren manages to get back to half guard.
Svennerud knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sjoren on the ground.
Sjoren is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Svennerud's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Svennerud's back!

Sjoren is working for a rear naked choke. Svennerud is not defending it well and Sjoren has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Svennerud refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Svennerud's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
