Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chaz Garrick (ranked 6320 p4p, 481 weight class) and Ralph Brooks (ranked 7063 p4p, 502 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ralph Brooks!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Garrick pinned against the cage. Garrick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Garrick stuffs the takedown.
Brooks throws a head kick that misses.
Garrick seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A head kick from Brooks lands but Garrick takes it in his stride.

It looks like Chaz Garrick has been cut.
Brooks shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Brooks misses with a low kick as Garrick jumps back.
Brooks blocks a head kick by Garrick.
Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch but Garrick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Chaz Garrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralph Brooks.
Brooks tries a head kick but it misses.
Brooks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garrick tries to avoid it but Brooks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garrick to the ground. Garrick escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Brooks gets caught napping as Garrick dives in and scores a takedown. Brooks manages to retain guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garrick is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Garrick has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Brooks goes for a double leg but Garrick avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Garrick continues to drive forward.

Garrick lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Brooks backwards.

Brooks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Brooks won't allow Garrick to get back to his feet.

Brooks gets tackled into the cage by Garrick. Garrick maintains the clinch.

Garrick creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brooks sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Garrick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brooks keeps working.

Brooks trying to control but Garrick flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Brooks is trying to get back to his feet but Garrick has full control of the position and if anything, Brooks has just worked his way into a worse spot.

In his post fight interview, Chaz Garrick started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
