The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan tries to clinch there but Onderek circles away.
Morgan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Onderek closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Onderek lands in his opponent's guard.

Onderek sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Morgan's guard.

It looks like Mason Morgan has been cut.

Onderek is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Morgan is surviving well by controlling Onderek's body position as best he can.

Onderek jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Morgan manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Onderek is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Morgan has escaped the position, nice work there.

Morgan tries to bench press Onderek off him but Onderek keeps the position.
Onderek tries to move into full mount but can't pass Morgan's legs.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Morgan is looking to regain half guard here but Onderek keeps moving and retains side control.
