Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kartofloson (ranked 24986 p4p, 496 weight class) and Pascal Oaza (ranked 7091 p4p, 457 weight class). Kris Kartofloson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Kartofloson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pascal Oaza!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oaza misses with a low kick.
Kartofloson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Oaza counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Oaza dives in and grabs Kartofloson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kartofloson pushes down on Oaza's head and hops out.

Oaza rushes Kartofloson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kartofloson tries to land knees in the clinch but Oaza avoids the damage to the body.
Kartofloson is trying to push Oaza away but Oaza has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kartofloson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Oaza is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kartofloson is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kartofloson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kartofloson throws a sloppy head kick and Oaza moves out of range easily.
Oaza lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Oaza counters by moving into the clinch.

Kartofloson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Oaza lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Kartofloson tries to get to full guard but Oaza has control of the leg.
Oaza perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Oaza tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kartofloson.
Kartofloson wants to control but Oaza is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Kartofloson is trying to stand.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Oaza lands a nice short elbow.
Oaza seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Oaza passes to side control.
Oaza working away.
Oaza scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kartofloson to see if he's OK.
Oaza tries to advance to mount but Kartofloson denies him.

Kartofloson tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Oaza easily slips into full mount!
Kartofloson tries to control Oaza's body but Oaza pushes him off. Kartofloson squirms to his side and now Oaza has his back!
Oaza scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Oaza is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Kartofloson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Oaza keeps control of the position as Kartofloson tries to break free.
What can Kartofloson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Oaza's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kartofloson tries to escape but Oaza has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Kartofloson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Let's hope that Oaza has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Oaza is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kartofloson is defending well though. Oaza let's go of the attempt for now.

Oaza keeps the fight on the outside.
Oaza drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kartofloson defends it well.
Kartofloson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Oaza manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kartofloson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kartofloson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kartofloson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Oaza is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kartofloson's half guard.

Oaza is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kartofloson is just riding it out for now. Oaza eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oaza looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kartofloson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kartofloson is looking for a sweep. Oaza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Well, if Oaza is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kartofloson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Oaza is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kartofloson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Pascal Oaza showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Oaza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kartofloson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Oaza connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kartofloson some visible discomfort.
Kartofloson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Oaza's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Kartofloson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Oaza scores with a couple of nice shots.

Oaza lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Oaza lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Oaza moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kartofloson has worked his arm free - good work by Kartofloson!

Pascal Oaza comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Oaza has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
