Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bong (ranked 4649 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Reginald (ranked 4211 p4p, 439 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reginald blocks the body kick.
Bong has Reginald up against the cage in a clinch.
Reginald landing knees to the body.
Reginald tries to land a knee to the head but Bong blocks with his arms.

Reginald unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Bong is breathing heavily.
Reginald throws an elbow but it misses.
Reginald is leaning against Bong and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Bong tries to score a body lock takedown but Reginald shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Reginald lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bong or not.
Reginald throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bong blocks it with crossed arms.

Bong blocks the elbow strike.
Reginald using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bong has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bong ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bong no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bong is adopting a defensive guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reginald is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bong is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Reginald tries to free his leg and advance position but Bong is retaining full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Bong is looking to cinch up a triangle. Reginald throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bong's body to avoid the submission. Bong has instead reached around Reginald's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bong arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Billy Bong!
