The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen looks to throw the jab but Marceau is out of range.
Allen throws a lazy head kick
and Marceau counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like George Allen has been cut.
Allen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Allen connects with a right hand. Marceau shakes it off.

It looks like Jean-Claude Marceau has been cut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Allen, as that shot connected.
Allen throws a lazy uppercut
and Marceau counters with a solid body kick.
Allen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Marceau slips under a jab.
Marceau uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Allen.
A little feinted left hand from Marceau on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Allen throws a lazy head kick
and Marceau makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marceau closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Allen! Marceau dives in looking to finish! Allen is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean-Claude Marceau!
A relieved looking Jean-Claude Marceau thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
