Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marvelous Berkeley (ranked 2158 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aslan Akishev (ranked 3225 p4p, 0 weight class). Aslan Akishev told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akishev wants to clinch up but Berkeley keeps it at a distance.

Berkeley lands a left and a right that sends Akishev crashing to the canvas! Berkeley dives into mount looking to finish!

Akishev is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Berkeley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Akishev is looking to escape.
Akishev is still in real trouble! Can Berkeley finish him?

Berkeley stands up from mount. Strange move.
Berkeley misses with the combination.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Berkeley has cracked Akishev with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Berkeley lands another huge swinging hook and Akishev tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Akishev, before Berkeley can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marvelous Berkeley!
