Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walters shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Walters was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Walters creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hasegawa sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Walters is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hasegawa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Walters is working for a kimura but Hasegawa is defending it quite comfortably.
Hasegawa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walters on the ground.
Walters winds up and cracks Hasegawa with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Walters looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Walters looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hasegawa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Walters is nestled in close to Hasegawa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walters thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hasegawa's head.

Walters is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.


Hasegawa is rocked!
Hasegawa has hold of Walters's hands but Walters slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Oh Hasegawa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Walters connects with a nice short shot to Hasegawa's temple.
Walters scores with a big shot! Hasegawa's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Hasegawa! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Walters!
