PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucien Kessler (ranked 2988 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Freds (ranked 3541 p4p, 0 weight class). Kessler has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fred Freds!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kessler throws a body shot but no joy.
Kessler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Freds. Kessler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kessler misses with a wild body shot.
Freds smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kessler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Freds manages to avoid it.
Kessler throws a body punch but Freds moves out of range.
Kessler misses with a body shot
and Freds counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Lucien Kessler has been cut.

Freds drops Kessler with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kessler looks back up at him and smiles so Freds waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Kessler is rocked!
Kessler is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Freds finds Kessler's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Kessler flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Freds lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Kessler will be OK.
