PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Sobieski (ranked 1469 p4p, 183 weight class) and Ladera Hawthorne (ranked 1790 p4p, 221 weight class). Hawthorne has chosen Beef Rap as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ladera Hawthorne!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawthorne avoids the head kick by Sobieski.
Hawthorne misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hawthorne throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sobieski avoids a kick to the body.
Sobieski tries to counter with a takedown but Hawthorne is quick to defend against it.
Hawthorne misses with a straight left.
Sobieski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hawthorne gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sobieski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawthorne swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
