Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex Martens (ranked 3616 p4p, 360 weight class) and Francesco Liberti (ranked 4032 p4p, 387 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Martens lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Martens stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Liberti in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

The fighters circle, before Martens throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Liberti's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Martens lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
