Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grant Alyoshin (ranked 764 p4p, 96 weight class) and Joao Cajo Branca (ranked 1273 p4p, 147 weight class). Alyoshin comes to the cage accompanied by Video killed the radio star. Branca has chosen original score medley as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Branca connects with a looping right hand.
Branca throws a leg kick
and Alyoshin counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Joao Cajo Branca has been cut.
The crowd cheers as Alyoshin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Branca doesn't seem phased though.
Alyoshin throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Branca bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Alyoshin's head.
Branca lands a nice looking body shot.
Alyoshin blocks a head kick by Branca.
Alyoshin misses with a body kick.
Branca appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Branca throws a left and a right that both miss
and Alyoshin counters with a three punch combo that has Branca backing up. Branca nods at Alyoshin to acknowledge the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alyoshin lands a jab to Branca's midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alyoshin looks to throw the jab but Branca is out of range.
Alyoshin throws a right hand that Branca ducks under and follows up with a left that Branca also avoids with ease.
Alyoshin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Branca throws out the jab.
Branca bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Branca was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Branca moves out of range of the body kick from Alyoshin.
Alyoshin throws a body punch but Branca moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Alyoshin.
Branca walks into a jab.
That has opened up Joao Cajo Branca's cut even more.
Alyoshin misses with an uppercut
and Branca counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alyoshin misses with a kick to the body
and Branca makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Alyoshin really felt that one!
Branca throws a head kick but Alyoshin moves out of range.
Alyoshin throws an overhand right that lands on Branca's shoulder, as Branca tries to avoid the shot.
Branca throws a nice outside leg kick.
No joy there for Alyoshin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Branca connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alyoshin. Alyoshin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alyoshin misses with an uppercut. Branca saw that one coming.
Branca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Alyoshin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Alyoshin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Branca.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alyoshin scores with a nice head shot.
Branca fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Alyoshin checks it well.
Branca feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Alyoshin's calf.
A slow jab from Branca misses its intended target.
Nice uppercut there from Branca.
Alyoshin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Alyoshin scores with a punch to the head.
Branca swings for the body but Alyoshin moves out of range.
Alyoshin gets in close and tags Branca with a short punch that almost sends Branca to the mat! Oh Branca is in big trouble! He turns his back on Alyoshin, trying to create some distance but Alyoshin rushes him, striking wildly and Branca goes down! The referee tackles Alyoshin into the cage to end the fight! Alyoshin is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grant Alyoshin!
