Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sylvain Lievremont (ranked 1283 p4p, 145 weight class) and Manalili Meesang (ranked 657 p4p, 74 weight class). Lievremont comes to the cage accompanied by Stromae - Papaoutai. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lievremont tries to clinch but Meesang moves away
and Meesang connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Lievremont closes the distance and clinches.
Lievremont blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Meesang swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Meesang throws a punch but it's blocked by Lievremont.

Lievremont jumps into guard, dragging Meesang to the mat.
Lievremont has his hands on Meesang's head, controlling the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lievremont is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meesang slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lievremont tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lievremont wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lievremont shoots in looking for a takedown but Meesang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lievremont's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Meesang stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Meesang wants it to stay on the feet.

Meesang swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Lievremont stalks Meesang and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Meesang's face. Meesang staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lievremont is breathing heavily.
Meesang lands a nice hook to Lievremont's body. Lievremont takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Oh Lievremont is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Meesang fakes the body blow, causing Lievremont to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Lievremont goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
