Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between She Mine (ranked 23831 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Sue (ranked 23792 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, She Mine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Sue!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mine fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A nice side step and Sue releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Mine shoots in but no luck this time.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sue. Mine does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sue swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Sue has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sue can't find room to land a body shot as Mine controls the action.
Mine misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sue wants to get back to striking at distance but Mine won't allow it.
Sue throws an elbow but it misses.
Sue misses with a punch to the body.
Sue misses with a body punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mine blocks a body shot from Sue.
Mine misses with a hook to the ribs.
Come on Mine - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Mine tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Mine misses with a punch to the body.
Sue tries to work over Mine's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sue prevents a body shot from Mine.
Mine doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Mine wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mine is trying to push Sue away but Sue has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sue wants a takedown but no success here.
Sue doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mine tries a body shot but Sue blocks it.

The referee is keeping an eye on Sue - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Sue dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sue tries to clinch but Mine is having none of it.

Sue instigates a clinch.
Mine tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sue's elbow.
Sue swings wildly with an uppercut but Mine uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mine blocks a body shot from Sue.
Mine on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Mine wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sue has him pressed against the cage.
Sue doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Sue tries to throw a body punch but Mine avoids it by throwing Sue back against the cage.
Mine goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Sue misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sue struggles to land a body shot inside as Mine controls his hands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mine tries to work over Sue's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Mine misses with a punch to the body.
Sue is trying to break free.
Mine is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Sue breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mine goes for a double leg but Sue avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sue continues to drive forward.
Sue doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Sue gets caught napping as Mine dives in and scores a takedown. Sue manages to retain guard.
Mine controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Sue has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mine has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Sue presses Mine against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sue can't find room to land a body shot as Mine controls the action.

Sue breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sue looks to land a right hand but Mine moved out of range.
Mine appears to be looking for a big counter.
Sue tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A counter left hand to the body from Mine misses its target.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The referee is keeping an eye on Mine - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Sue showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Sue tries to keep at a distance but Mine has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sue fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mine was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Mine shoots in and bounces Sue off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mine trying to control the position from guard on top but Sue is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mine decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sue, up you get!
Mine looks for a takedown but Sue sprawls well.
Sue now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sue rushes Mine and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mine managing to block the knees to the body from Sue.
A hook to the body from Sue.
Tom Sue seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Sue doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Sue blocks a body shot from Mine.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mine tries for a takedown but Sue manages to get underhooks.
Sue can't find room to land a body shot as Mine controls the action.
Sue blocks a body shot from Mine.
Sue tries to work over Mine's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Mine lands a shot to the body.
Sue misses with a hook to the ribs.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mine misses with a body punch.
Sue misses with a punch to the body.
Sue misses with a short punch on the inside.
Sue tries to throw a body punch but Mine avoids it by throwing Sue back against the cage.
She Mine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tom Sue is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to She Mine.
I think Sue has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
