Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emyr Lane (ranked 2699 p4p, 317 weight class) and Min Ion (ranked 3087 p4p, 348 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ion shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ion drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lane manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ion has Lane in his guard.

Ion has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lane is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ion.

Lane dips to his left and cracks Ion with an uppercut!
Horrible takedown attempt by Ion or perhaps it was just good defense by Lane, which made it look bad.
Ion takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ion shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lane defends it nicely.

Ion has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Lane shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ion eats them both and turns towards Lane to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Lane wants to slow Ion down by chopping away at his legs.

Lane is pawing at Ion, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Ion's nose. Ion is badly hurt! Lane pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Ion tries desperately to hold on but Lane is relentless in his assault! As Ion receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Lane away and this one is in the books!
