Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Bateman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Allen!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen has closed the distance and engaged Bateman in a clinch.
Bateman tries for a takedown but Allen manages to get underhooks.
Allen scores with a nice hook to the head.

Allen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Allen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Allen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bateman is one step ahead there.
Bateman postures up.
Allen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Allen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bateman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bateman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bateman is in close to Allen's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Bateman throws a big right hand that misses.
Allen working a defensive guard but Bateman passes into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Allen trying to hold on to Bateman's head to control him but Bateman postures up.
Allen blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bateman.
Allen wants to control but Bateman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bateman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Allen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Bateman lands strikes from half guard.


It looks like James Allen has been cut.
Bateman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bateman working Allen over with strikes.

Bateman passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bateman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Bateman raining down shots from the mount!
Bateman with a couple of short strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bateman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Allen tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Allen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bateman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bateman trying to control but Allen is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Allen tries to lock up and control but Bateman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Allen taking shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Allen looks winded!
Bateman lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Allen defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Bateman.
Bateman landing strikes from the mount and Allen is in trouble!


Allen is rocked!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Allen can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bateman lands a big shot there that rocks Allen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Allen is still in real trouble! Can Bateman finish him?


The cut above James Allen's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Bateman postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Allen bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Bateman and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Bateman!
Patrick Bateman decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
