Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Suren Nazarethyan (ranked 5875 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilfred Keter (ranked 23134 p4p, 0 weight class). Nazarethyan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Amerika. Wilfred Keter will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 52 - 57 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Suren Nazarethyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilfred Keter!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keter attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Nazarethyan throws a quick counter head kick but Keter was just out of range.
Keter throws a quick inside leg kick.

Nazarethyan looking to score a takedown here. Keter is defending well but Nazarethyan drives through and ends up in Keter's guard.
Keter wants to sweep here but Nazarethyan controlling him for the moment.
Keter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Nazarethyan cracks Keter with a solid left hand.
Nazarethyan trying to control the position from guard on top but Keter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nazarethyan lands a couple of digs.
Keter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nazarethyan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nazarethyan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Keter tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Nazarethyan throws a strike but Keter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Nazarethyan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Nazarethyan wants to sweep here but Keter controlling him for the moment.
Keter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Keter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Nazarethyan controls Keter momentarily but Keter frees himself.
Nazarethyan has Keter pulled in close to control his posture.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Keter throws a sloppy head kick and Nazarethyan moves out of range easily.
Nazarethyan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A left lands for Keter.

Keter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Nazarethyan is looking to control Keter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nazarethyan avoid being mounted?

Nazarethyan seems keen to control Keter's posture.

Nazarethyan is working an open guard so Keter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nazarethyan shoots in for a takedown but Keter shows good takedown defense.
Keter flicks out a counter leg kick but Nazarethyan steps away.
Nazarethyan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nazarethyan tries to bum rush Keter with a series of wild strikes but Keter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Keter connects with a right hand. Nazarethyan shakes it off.
A slapping leg kick lands for Keter.
Keter keeps Nazarethyan at a distance using the push kick.
Nazarethyan looks to land a body kick but Keter moved away.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Keter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nazarethyan keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nazarethyan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Keter counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wilfred Keter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Keter throws a sloppy head kick and Nazarethyan moves out of range easily.
Nazarethyan is looking for a counter combo.
Keter lands a front kick.
Nazarethyan swinging wildly here.
Keter is looking to slow Nazarethyan down with leg kicks.
Nazarethyan thows a leg kick but Keter checks it
and Keter counters with a thumping low kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Keter!

Nazarethyan loads up on a big right hand but Keter slips the punch.
Keter lands a head kick. Nazarethyan smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A nice inside leg kick there by Keter. That's going to slow Nazarethyan down.
Keter connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Keter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nazarethyan. That did some damage!

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Keter - that will leave a mark!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Keter, right into the meat.
Keter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nazarethyan's head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Keter.
Keter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nazarethyan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A head kick from Keter lands but Nazarethyan takes it in his stride.
Both fighters circling a little - Keter finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nazarethyan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Keter counters with a body kick that stops Nazarethyan in his tracks momentarily.
Keter lands with a kick to the temple. Nazarethyan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Suren Nazarethyan has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nazarethyan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Keter defends well and Nazarethyan ends up having to push Keter into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Keter. That's going to slow Nazarethyan down.
Nazarethyan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Keter.

Keter throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nazarethyan.
Nazarethyan misses with a wild combination.
Nice body punch from Keter.
Nazarethyan is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Keter throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nazarethyan on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nazarethyan will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Nazarethyan throws a head kick that misses
and Keter counters with an outside leg kick.
Keter stuns Nazarethyan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Keter looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nazarethyan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.


Nazarethyan is rocked!

Nazarethyan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nazarethyan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Keter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Keter has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nazarethyan is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Keter lands a left and a right that send Nazarethyan crashing to the mat, dazed. Keter thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Nazarethyan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A good leg kick by Keter.
Keter cracks Nazarethyan with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Nazarethyan falls to his knees and Keter doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wilfred Keter!
