And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Cole Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds lands with an uppercut that bounces Ho Joy off the cage and back into range.
Ho Joy throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Reynolds connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ho Joy's hands.
Ho Joy misses with a left hand
and Reynolds counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ho Joy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reynoldss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Ho Joy throws a leg kick
and Reynolds counters with a nice leg kick.
Do Ho Joy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reynolds with a hook.
Some bone on bone action there as Reynolds checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Reynolds! But no joy.
Ho Joy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


Reynolds is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ho Joy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A slow jab from Ho Joy misses its intended target.
Ho Joy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Reynolds ducks under a wild hook from Ho Joy.
It seemed like Reynolds was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Reynolds counters with a straight right hand.
Ho Joy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reynolds manages to avoid it.
Reynolds seems to have recovered his senses.
Ho Joy moves out of range of the body kick from Reynolds.

Ho Joy throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ho Joy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice shot lands for Ho Joy.
Reynolds moves out of range of the body kick.
Ho Joy throws a leg kick that is checked
and Reynolds counters with a good, hard body kick but Ho Joy shrugs it off.
Ho Joy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Reynolds looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Reynolds has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ho Joy misses with a shot to the body
and Reynolds counters with a left right combination that sends Ho Joy crashing to the mat - Reynolds wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Ho Joy out for a TKO! Devastating finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole Reynolds!
Cole Reynolds spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Do Ho Joy was interviewed post fight and said 'It is not important to be better then someone else, but to be better then yesterday. Jigoro Kano'.
