The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astanovich lands a really nice looking cross but Cole seems unphased.
Astanovich tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Astanovich fails with an attempt to clinch.

Cole tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Cole throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Astanovich tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cole is in Astanovich's guard.
Astanovich wants to get back to his feet but Cole is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cole postures up and lands a big shot to Astanovich's brow.
Astanovich wants to stand and escape but Cole is having none of it.
Cole really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Astanovich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cole stands up and beckons Astanovich to his feet.
Cole walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Astanovich throws a nice looking combination but Cole bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Astanovich ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cole moves away.
Astanovich tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cole swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Astanovich tries to bum rush Cole with a series of wild strikes but Cole uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Astanovich wants to clinch up but Cole keeps it at a distance.
Astanovich throws a series of punches but Cole avoids them all with ease.
Astanovich lunges at Cole with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cole's hand.
Cole takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Astanovich misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Astanovich just misses with a punch to the body.
Cole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Astanovich as he avoids it easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

and Astanovich counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pukka Astanovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Cole.
Astanovich gets tackled into the cage by Cole. Cole maintains the clinch.
Cole gets control of Astanovich's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cole will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Cole is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Astanovich presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Astanovich is trying to drag Cole to the mat but Cole just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Astanovich changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cole fights it off and pushes away nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Adam Cole will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Cole throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No joy there for Cole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Astanovich throws a series of punches but Cole moves out of range.
Cole thuds his shin into the meat of Astanovich's side.

It looked like Astanovich wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Pukka Astanovich is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Astanovich is looking to clinch.
Cole shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Astanovich as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Astanovich closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Astanovich lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Astanovich.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cole keeps the fight on the outside.

Cole drops his hands momentarily and Astanovich takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cole gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Cole tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Astanovich is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Cole buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Cole!! Cole is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Astanovich throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pukka Astanovich!
