PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Objedkov (ranked 668 p4p, 36 weight class) and JoJo Diaz (ranked 428 p4p, 25 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Objedkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, JoJo Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Objedkov wants to clinch up but Diaz keeps it at a distance.
Objedkov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A lazy left from Objedkov finds it's target.
Objedkov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Diaz throws out the jab.
Diaz throws a shot from downtown. Objedkov moves away and avoids it.
Diaz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Objedkov on the side of the head.
Diaz ducks under a wild hook from Objedkov.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Diaz! But no joy.

Objedkov moves into the clinch successfully.
Diaz gets through Objedkov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Objedkov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Objedkov is trying to drag Diaz to the mat but Diaz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Objedkov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Diaz clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Objedkov connects with a nice short shot to Diaz's temple.
