Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Landon Priester (ranked 204 p4p, 27 weight class) and Sambulo Yeboah (ranked 258 p4p, 36 weight class). Yeboah has chosen Lionel Richie - All Night Long as his entrance music. Sambulo Yeboah has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yeboah rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Priester counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Yeboah lands a body shot.
Yeboah keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Yeboah looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Priester is looking to counter punch.
Yeboah does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Priester throws a quick counter kick to the body but Yeboah avoids it.
Sambulo Yeboah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yeboah is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Priester still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Priester has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Priester wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yeboah keeps working.

Yeboah working for a triangle but Priester defends it easily.
Yeboah pulls Priester in close to his closed guard and prevents Priester from doing any damage or advancing position.

Priester avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Priester got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yeboah has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Priester has managed to get both his arms back between Yeboah's legs - danger averted.
Priester is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Priester continues to stall.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yeboah looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Yeboah throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Priester escapes and throws Yeboah's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sambulo Yeboah dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Yeboah throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Priester's waist but Priester gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yeboah off to one side.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Priester.
It seemed like Yeboah was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Priester stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yeboah.
Yeboah misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Yeboah throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Priester on the side of the head.

and Priester makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Yeboah really felt that one!
Yeboah shoots in and bounces Priester off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Yeboah postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Priester is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yeboah, into his guard.

We've been told by Priester's head coaches at Guerrilla MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Priester leaves Yeboah with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Yeboah tries to close the distance and clinch but Priester swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

And Yeboah tries to counter it with a takedown but Priester pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Sambulo Yeboah is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Yeboah goes for a double leg but Priester avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Priester continues to drive forward.

Priester throws a solid leg kick but Yeboah takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Priester.
Yeboah misses with a wild body shot.
Priester takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Yeboah gets a clinch.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Landon Priester.
Well Yeboah has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
