Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Baker (ranked 6240 p4p, 495 weight class) and Ruff Tuff (ranked 23067 p4p, 562 weight class). Ruff Tuff will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonny Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ruff Tuff!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ron Honeybunn and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuff misses with a double jab

and Baker counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Tuff!

Tuff is looking for a sweep.

Baker has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tuff can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Tuff really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tuff is looking to regain half guard here but Baker keeps moving and retains side control.

Baker postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Baker lands an elbow.
Sloppy strikes there by Baker.
Baker in side control lands a decent elbow.
Baker in side control, throwing shots but Tuff defends.
You can see the frustration on Tuff's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tuff is trying to improve his position.
Baker is looking to take a break and control but Tuff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Baker cracks Tuff with a big elbow.
Baker misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Baker tries to score with some ground and pound. Tuff controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jonny Baker dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Tuff throws a body shot but no joy.
Tuff lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Baker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tuff can do to turn this around?
Baker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tuff's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Tuff duly obliges.
Tuff misses with an uppercut.
Baker shoots for a takedown but Tuff saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tuff throws a chopping leg kick but Baker manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Baker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tuff won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Baker in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Tuff looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Baker turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
