Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between TJ Tate (ranked 5777 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fits Miz (ranked 3977 p4p, 351 weight class). Tate comes to the cage accompanied by shotta flow . Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fits Miz!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tate closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Miz's guard.

Miz looking for a guillotine here but Tate defends easily.
Miz being controlled here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tate trying to control but Miz is working from the bottom.
Tate is breathing heavily.

Miz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Miz wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tate is now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miz tries to roll over but Tate keeps him under control.
Miz is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tate stopping the sweep attempt from Miz.
Miz trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tate postures up in Miz's guard and throws a big left but Miz blocks it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tate slaps away a takedown attempt from Miz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tate is looking for a counter combo.
Tate displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Miz.
Miz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tate looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Tate looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Miz shoots in for a takedown but Tate shows good takedown defense.
TJ Tate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fits Miz.
Miz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Miz has taken the fight to the clinch.

Miz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Miz looks to land a combination. Tate sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Miz tries to clinch but Tate moves out of range.

Miz moves into range and clinches up with Tate.

Miz looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Miz scores with a one two! Tate had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Miz clinches up with Tate and pushes him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Miz pulls guard successfully.

Tate is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Miz has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tate is looking to defend but Miz has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tate! Miz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tate taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Fits Miz!
