Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruiz Ruiz (ranked 5439 p4p, 429 weight class) and Xander Ziranov (ranked 5971 p4p, 450 weight class). Ziranov has chosen Power wolf - We drink your blood as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziranov scores with a head kick.
Ziranov shoots in for a takedown but Ruiz shows good takedown defense.
Ruiz went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ruiz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ruiz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ziranov to the mat! Ziranov manages to get full guard.

Ruiz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ruiz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ruiz hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
